TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES

The Loire valley is lovely at this time of year. Very floral and fragrant. These photos are all from our holiday at the end of May 2009.

  1. Great pictures, I love the well. My poor roses are heavy with water at the moment. Wish the rain would stop!! Diane

  3. Of course we all need rain once in a while but it is just so beautiful when it is sunny.

  5. Superb flower photographs Jean. We went to the rose festival at Chedigny on Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. If you haven't visited the festival then you should try to when you are next 'in residence' on the weekend of the French Mothers Day.

  6. Oh, GaynorB said the magic word--Chedigny! We've only been there in September and it's so flowery then. I can hardly imagine how gorgeous the village would be when the roses are in bloom.
