I SIT, THEREFORE I AM

take a seat

Somewhere to take the weight off your feet in the park at Descartes.

  1. Ditto Diane! The first thought I had.

  2. Diane, Mitch and Sue - I can confirm that there is a comfort issue with the seat !! Definitley a case of style being more important.

  3. Can't be any harder than wood. It'll be a case of I am, therefore I sit...especially if I'm tired.

  4. Looks like a very solid and substantial bench. Not likely to collapse on you.
As for the quotation, I'm reminded of a story about Rene Descartes going into a bar, after his great, "I think, therefore I am" comment.
The barkeep asked Rene if he wanted a beer.
    Rene said, "I think not."
Monsieur Descartes hasn't been seen or heard from since.
