DID YOU SEE IT?

We really enjoyed the first programme in a new cooking series on TV last night:

Rachel Khoo, The Little Paris Kitchen.

Rachel cooks in her tiny kitchen in her equally tiny apartment, which is so small she has to pack the bed away every morning to make some room !!  She runs a restaurant in the apartment and in the series we get to see some of her cooking.  The views of Paris are stunning too.

So far it’s great – I especially liked the look of her croque madame – made in muffin tins !! Must try that one !!

Monday nights in are looking up – we are really looking forward to the rest of the series.

    1. Bear, do you get many of our cooking programmes on your side of the pond? If so, it will only be a matter of time, I'm sure.

    1. Diane, I actually rather like Nigella but I can see why some people don't !!
Rachel's style is more like the other recent newcomer, Lorraine Pascale. I guess all chefs have to be good looking to get a cookery show these days !!

  9. Nice ... but no tv here so will have to make do with Youtube! She may be English but surely has French ancestral roots as well as that beautiful Gallic shrug!

    1. Sweetpea, could you get it on BBC i-player on your computer? It was on BBC2.

  10. Well if she can manage to cook so wonderfully well in her tiny kitchen, I am damn sure I can manage in my temporary mucky mess of a kitchen! I must make more effort!

    1. Vera, other people have told me that most Paris kitchens are tiny, which makes me think that washing up expands to fill the space available and makes me feel inadequate when I look at the amount of mess I make in proportion to the food produced !!

    1. Broad, it's full of clichés and cheesey French music but is charming all the same and her food looks yummy !!

  12. She's definitely very likable. But I can't imagine staying in to watch a cooking show; then again, I "cooked" a cup of tea recently, so am not naturally drawn to cooking shows!

  13. Have to be good looking to succeed as a tv cook? Well, bugger! There goes my tv career then. lol

As you know, I blogged about and loved the show. Aah Paris! And .... Lorraine Pascale? Who is this? Must do a little Google search.
