Eventually she was put in a room with four beds. 2 were men, one guy kept ripping my mums curtains open and entering her space. It was frightful. There was nothing to be done about it. Six weeks later when the original doctor was on another rotation she was shocked to see my mum still on the ward. Sadly she was transferred to the hospice and made to feel quite comfy and peaceful for the last week. So I guess she fell through many of those seven layers.
Your Nick is a lucky man, Happy New Year to you both.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04340754457769990679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4785675986457392622.post-87013734630735196732016-12-29T17:32:14.236+00:002016-12-29T17:32:14.236+00:00I know of no one who would call 2016 a good year, ...I know of no one who would call 2016 a good year, but yours sounds worse than most. Much of the noise comes from the machines used.

We had a client a couple of years ago who was the director of an American hospital. He was really interesting on the subject of systems to ensure patients don't fall through the net. If they do it is a failure of at least 7 layers of 'mesh' where they should get caught and truly a failure of the system.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06472449597146519943noreply@blogger.com
