Great...I took my camera and didn't even use it!!
A delightful local event. My husband has collected and restored tractors for the past 30 years so he was particularly interested in your video. We currently have a Massey Ferguson circa 1949 just like the grey one in the parade. Amicalement.
That parade added a bit of "traction" to the parade, peut-être? Notably, the same kinds of tractors we have here: Ford, Versatile, Deere, etc. Blessings and Bear hugs!
An amusing and typical rural event, complete with man with microphone. The English commentary in the background made me laugh. I learnt to drive on a little grey Fergie like that.
I love the collections of vintage tractors and other farm machinery that come out at the local fetes and comices. After a while one starts to recognise them year by year. :)
There are some splendid old working beasts among them, and one or two must be pre-war. One at the ploughing match was being driven by a young man who might have been a young-looking ten years old, and a good steady driver he was too. Not so much as one roll cage, ear defender, air conditioner to be seen. Health and safety? Develop good habits, and no more than one bottle of wine at lunchtime.
Looks like a fabulous day out. I have never seen anything quite like that here. Have a good week. Diane
