Michael, the château is around 1,000 years old, first being built in the early 12th century. How time flies.
The tower used to be open to the public. The view from the top is spectacular, according to many of our friends who visited it before it closed, which was not that many years ago, but sadly before we became acquainted with the village.
I wonder what is the history story of this one.

That tower looks like a minaret to me.
