On 12th April 2015 we went to a wine fair.
We bought some Chablis (and a few others).
The shop at the winery sells interesting foods. We bought some of them.
They also sell soap made from donkey milk. It was rather pricey so we managed to resist.
On this day today....I'm getting my hair cut. After eighteen weeks and trimming my own hair, it's going to be a big day!!
In our part of France all the hairdressers seem to be called Coiffure Sylvie, or Helene - always names after the proprietor. Jane is too scared to give them a a go, even when we are there for some months. I don't have this problem - 'rise and shine' as they say!
ReplyDeleteMark, Nick goes quite cheerily to our local hairdresser in France and is always pleased with the outcome. I've had a few disappointments owing to my requirements being "lost in translation". Out of necessity I have had to learn to cut my own fringe so I think I'll carry on with that whilst we are chez nous!
DeleteI have to wait until the 21st to get mine done. I am still suffering and avoiding looking in the mirror.
ReplyDeletePat, I was tempted to keep growing it but was getting to the point where no matter how I tried it didn't look tidy.
DeleteI recognize that place! :)
ReplyDeleteWalt, I think that was the day we went to the goat farm for lunch.
DeleteYes, I have checked and it was that day! It was a good lunch!
DeleteIn normal times and given the choice, I'd opt for the wine fair but these days the hair salon definitely wins
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see how our horizons have shrunk and aspirations shifted over the last twelve months!
