TWELVE MONTHS IN TWELVE DAYS

 APRIL

The early part of April was chilly.  We didn't linger long at the first local brocantes.

A delivery of gas made sure we stayed warm and toasty.

A visit to one of our favourite wine cellars near Saumur topped up our own cellar.

There were still misty mornings by the middle of the month.

We picked up where we left off with our favourite walks.

We spied a new addition in Paulmy.
(We still haven't tried it yet.)

The days were gradually getting warmer and our social life was picking up too - a birthday lunch out at an old favourite restaurant.

It's under new ownership and the jury is still out.

Eight years after moving in we finally got acquainted with the barn's long time resident.

  1. What is your long time resident, Jean?
I am presuming it's the very large snake I think I can see....
